My research interest is developing new devices by applying photonics in space, defense, communications, and sensors. Current areas include:

  • Optical metrology: laser interferometry in industrial manufacturing, sensors, and military applications.
  • Application of distributed fiber sensing in seismology and military applications.
  • High-capacity optical communications (Space division multiplexing-Multicore and Multimode fibers) and Elastic and energy-efficient optical networks.
  • Performance and evaluation of optical communications (Nonlinear Kerr effects)
